After that we took off to Lake Havasu City, AZ where Don is working. The girls and I took advantage of the motel room and pool! I have to say we were complete BUMS! We spent 6 nights there which was wonderful, but after awhile living in a motel can take its toll on a person. We had a great time though, we took a boat over to a little island where we ate dinner, we rented jet skis ( which was a little scarey for me), Carley and I got our hair cut, and we spent a lot of time down by the world famous London Bridge. I can't believe they brought a bridge all the way from London and it ended up in Lake Havasu!! Kinda strange! It was beautiful though. The girls and I also enjoyed walking down to the lake every morning after breakfast and watching the world championship jet ski races. I was so...impressed with the way they could control those machines especially for how fast they would go. Unfortunaley Don had to go to work while we played but it was just nice to be together!

Fall BREAK!!
We started our break in New Mexico to visit family and watch my nephew Brady's football game! It happened to be homecoming and since Don & I are both Kirtland Central alumni we thought it would be a good game to go to. If you look in the background you can see Macie, that was the only picture I could find with all four of us together.

Macie & Friends at the Mall...Look OUT!!

Well Macie and her friends Abbie and Hailee somehow talked Don into taking them to the mall for a girls adventure! I don't think Don knew what he was getting himself into to. As you can see from the slideshow ...they defenitly had fun! You will notice they tried on clothes, hats, make-up, etc! But the most interesting picture I think you will find is when they got their picture taken with a complete stranger! Yes....I said stranger, they found this woman and told her they were doing a school project and they needed to get a picture with sombody in a mall! WOW! What have we created...lol!

School has started!!
I can't believe it Carley & Macie have officially started school! It's still summer....something is wrong with the school systems these days. Carley is off and running to the BIG High School. She is now a BASHA BEAR! Time goes by so fast. Macie is now in the 5th grade. Before I know it they will be graduated and starting their adult life....yikes...how scarey!

Trip To Washington!!

WoW!! What a beautiful place Washington is!!! I've never seen so much green in my life!!
Despite getting our money stolen from us the first night in the house we were staying in, we actually had a great time. We went to the beach in Seaside Oregon and we also got to see Mount St. Helens!
The cousins had a great time bonding together as you can see from the slideshow and the picture to the right.....maybe a little too much bonding! HA HA!

Memorial Day Weekend!
Memorial Day was definitely something to remember! We started our trip going through a snow storm...remember this is the end of May! After reaching our destination of Waterflow, NM we only thought it would warm up. No such luck, the whole weekend was windy, rainy and did I mention COLD! Coming from 100 degree weather we were not prepared in the clothes department. It was suppose to be at least in the 70's. O'well it was a good excuse to go shopping. Aside from the weather being unseasonably cold, we had a GREAT time visiting family and friends. My niece Kimberly graduated from High School, we are really proud of her! It was also an exciting time for Don's parents, we celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary!! Whoo...Hoo!! Way to go!! That is a wonderful acco
mplishment!

Watch out for flying Balls!!!
May 18, 2008
This past couple of weeks have been very interesting. Carley was playing softball when a ball came up and hit her in the eye requiring 6 stitches right in the eyebrow area. Luckily she was wearing sunglasses or it would have been worse. Then the day after we took Carley's stitches out, Macie went to her friends brothers baseball game when she got hit by a foul ball ! She didn't need stitches but the ball left the stitching imprint on her forehead!! I supose we need to be careful as a family because all things come in three....or so i've heard. :)
